Trent Herbert graduated from Moody Bible Institute and for many years has been involved in evangelism, cross-cultural outreach and pro-life ministry. Trent and his wife Laurie have been blessed with eight children.

The cross today, standing within the weathered Roman Colosseum, beckons us to remember the past, understand the present, and prepare for the future. Trent’s desire, amidst all the collapses in the world, is to see the people of God arise to be a tremendous light in these darkening times. The message of John 3:16 calls all to repent and believe in the gospel. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

This book led to an “on the street” questionnaire. The results shocked and yet encouraged him to continue to write this book. First, the belief by many that the resurrection of gladiatorial combat could happen again was evident. Secondly, that individuals would actually admit that if gladiatorial fights to the death happened again they would watch it (under certain circumstances).

What is in the hearts of a segment of society today may become reality tomorrow. Will history repeat?
